Funky Mutts Birthday

Hello Funky Mutts!

Things have been so busy here, what with racing from one market to the next, modelling the latest in Funky Mutts designer doggy wear, overseeing the new look website and choosing the Autumn Winter range. It really is all go! I have neglected my Park Life Blog so apologies to my fellow Funky Mutts.

Evie and I have been causing the usual amount of trouble in the local parks, chasing the squirrels and raiding picnics (Evie’s favourite pastime!) My ball catching skills have reached an all time high with my almost in-canine leaps in the air catching the ball with a definite grace. Even the England cricket team would welcome me as a fielder!

On the Funky Mutts front our cat collars safely went off to Mungo and Maud which we are very excited about. We have also started making harnesses. I haven’t quite picked which one I want but I'm certainly having one! They look brilliant and will be going on the website soon so keep your eye out - Dougal the Funky Mutts mannequin is modelling an Alice harness below!

We are also heading towards our 1st birthday and feel a celebration coming on, perhaps a big BBQ with plenty of pork chops and sausages for me! I'm retiring back to my bed for a well deserved rest as I have been out impressing the tourists in Greenwich with my agility in style, I could see the sweaty joggers looking over with envy wishing they could be so stylishly attired while exercising!

Don’t forget funky mutts keep wagging!

Lots of licks,

Sand, Sea and Sunshine

Greetings Funky Mutts!

I have returned from my well earned break at the seaside and I have to report I have had a splashing time! Evie came along too and although initially she was somewhat confused, being a real city pooch she has not really ventured further out than the occasional visit to Wimbledon Common! She soon got into the swing of things and now is keen to have another visit to Norfolk very soon having discovered all the wonderful things available to roll in!

It wasn't all play, play, play though we did have to venture to visit Pebbles at Big Blue Sky to drop off some of the new Fusion Range which they are now stocking we are so very excited to be stocked in this wonderful boutique.

I directed the photo shoot of the new range from my deckchair which I have to say really looks very striking on the website now - I am sure mostly due to my nose for detail and of course Patrick's amazing IT skills.

I really have my paws crossed for another visit soon and of course Evie and I really were the most stylish dogs on the beach due to our timeless Liberty Print collars which coped perfectly with the sea water too!

Signing off now but will be back soon, don't forget Funky Mutts KEEP WAGGING!!

What a rebarkable day!

Hello fellow Funky Mutts, Bailey here reporting from my bed on the latest happenings here in the Funky Mutts camp. Our spring Charity Easter Egg and Bone Hunt went really well the sun was shining lots of Funky Mutts and their owners ventured to join us in Kensington Gardens to sniff out the treasure and take part in the competitions. Trying to get into the spirit of things I agreed (somewhat reluctantly) to wear this ridiculous attire! Bunny ears on a Staffi, well I suppose I do look rather cute!

Anyway, I wanted to share some of the days highlights with you;

Searching for clues;

Funkiest Mutt! Alfie who won a Funky Mutts Collar, look out for his picture on the gallery and Evie had to get nose in and offer her help with the judging!

My owner even did an interview about the event, I rather generously let Dudley have the lime light as I do weigh a little too much to be held and do like to keep my paws firmly on the ground! He does look rather smart in his Isabel print collar and lead! I think I must be getting a little more easy going in my old age! Click the link here to watch it!

Well, it has been a hard day in the sunshine! I have had a bath which was rather cooling in my honey and yogurt iridescent shine shampoo and had two rather long walks, chased Evie played with my ball and started on my new supply of rather yummy Miss Priss Paw Bones, organic beef and vegetable treats.

Yawn! all a bit much really!

Don't forget Funky Mutts in this hard economic climate it really is essential to Keep Wagging!

Where's the treat

Well I thought it was time I ventured out of my bed to update you all on the latest in the Funky Mutts camp. February was fun, snow to play in, my influx of valentine cards and treats from all my adoring fans! and of course pancakes, slurp my favorite!

Now it seems that Spring is on its way there are a definite influx of puppies in the park with all the humans cooing and stroking them. I keep my distance trouble with puppies are they know no boundaries and seem to ignore my ' get away from my bottom or else' signals!

Evie is on a strict training regime at the moment as she needs to learn a skill for the Charity Easter Egg and Bone Hunt Superhero Dog Competition. Of course I have already honed my skills - I have the paws up and the nice to meet you (shake paws) options so I watch from my bed in bemusement while Evie tries to sniff out the treat which is hidden under 3 cups. Of course she can easily work out which cup it is under as she does have a fine nose but it is the next stage of resting her paw on the correct cup that causes the problem. Oh dear not sure she will get the hang of it before 5th April but it is quite amusing to watch!

My owner is packing up bags as we are heading to the seaside this weekend which is going to be lovely, trips to the beach, frolicking in the sea - in fact I fear it may be a weekend at the sewing machine as we have to stock up on the snazzy new collars which are in the new look Funky Mutts website. But claws crossed for one trip to the beach!

Keep Wagging and hope to see you at the Egg and Bone Hunt.

Waggy New Year

Happy New Year Funky Mutts! I hope you all had a lovely festive time and got plenty of turkey (my diet went on hold for Christmas day when I was allowed some turkey, bacon and chipolatas which were delicious!). We gave Merlin his Funky Mutts collar in the style Bella for Christmas, which he really thought rather splendid and now feels quite the dapper gentleman! (see Merlin wearing his collar in the gallery). Bella is now available in the funky mutts shop too for to the Funky Mutts shop to see me modelling it!

Back to London we collected the amazing portrait from Alex at pet portraits which has now taken pride of place in the Funky Mutts studio, Alex has really caught me in action perfectly!

This week has seen all paws on deck as Funky Mutts is featured in Your Dog magazine. There has been a real flurry of excitement, even I ventured from my lovely new faux fur bed (another Christmas present!) to see what was happening.

Evie has been round everyday as her human owner has started a new job. This has been nice, but having to share the limelight is not something which comes naturally! Still she is my best friend even if she does always smell of fox poo!

Anyway be sure to sniff out the collection which is being added to the Funky Mutts shop this week I love the Flora collar pictured here and am hoping that this might be mine for Spring/Summer.

The Easter Egg and Bone Hunt preparations are coming on with the wonderful Patrick building us a website to keep all the information about the event. I will update you when it is ready to have a look at!

Keep Wagging!
