On Location - Photo Shoot Funky Mutts Style

Well I have dared to leave the safety of my den (bed under my owner's desk!) to just give you a quick update. It feels like I have been living in a war zone recently with bangs and sizzles outside I really don't much like it I have to say in fact I have been dreading the nighttime. Anyway we seem to have had two quiet nights now so I am feeling much happier and even managed to venture into the kitchen last night to have a little bit of my male owners steak!

The Funky Mutts photo shoot started badly Evie woke up in the night with an unfortunate feeling in her tummy and had to wake up her owner to go out in the garden. Seems she had eaten something rather unpleasant in the park the day before which had given her a terrible sickness and diarrhea warranting a trip to the V E T and a course of antibiotics. She is feeling better now but had to miss the photo shoot. Following on from this piece of bad news the heavens opened and started to rain so on a dreary grey and rainy day we loaded up the car and made our way to Kennington. I was far from impressed to be expected to stand outside modelling a lot of Funky Mutts collars in the freezing cold and barked my disapproval which Katy did not seem to appreciate. After I had modelled all the collars I was bundled in the car and driven home, as yes I could hardly believe my eyes there she was Mabel tottering up to the photoshoot! (although I have to admit that she is very pretty in a Jack Russell kind of way) I had to give her a growl of disapproval.

All in all the day was not as much fun as the earlier summer photo shoot (mainly because I didn't have Evie to play with), I don't know how Naomi, Kate and Claudia do it! But Katy got some really great shots including one of the new coffee bean ethical fabric which have been loaded on to the new look Funky Mutts website http://www.funkymutts.co.uk/ and pictured above.

Well going out now for my tiddles catch you all soon and don't forget to keep wagging!

Bailey

PS I am keeping my eye on that naughty Evie but she does keep disappearing into hedges and coming out licking her lips, you really thought that she would have learnt her lesson!

Evie's News

I just thought that I would let Bailey and anyone else who is interested know that I have now had a bath! My morning walk in Dulwich Park in the pouring rain and an extra amount of rolling in fox poo had just proved too much for my owner and she forced me into the bath! It was not the most pleasant experience but apparently I am lovely and clean and smell of roses!

I had a new friend to walk with this morning - a young border terrier called Rock. He seemed very nice and was quite a handsome fellow if not a little hairy. I would have preferred my usual walk with Bailey when we do exactly the same thing every day but it was quite fun even though she was not there. I could see him eyeing up my Funky Mutts collar and he was clearly very taken with it and I think a bit jealous. I think he was quite taken with me too as he often stopped to give my face a lick - obviously he did not find my Parfum De Fox off putting.

As I glanced around the park this morning at all the other dogs I realised that when Bailey and I strut around the park with our shiny coats and our fabulous Funky Mutt collars on we really do look quite the glamorous Staffie pair! Dogs and humans are always stopping to admire us and I have to say I rather love the attention. I think that Bailey and I are the perfect couple!
Am just off to meet my best friend now for a quick walk before coming home and have my dinner in front of Strictly......

What a day, Bailey has said that she has taken cover as she heard a dreaded firework but will be blogging tomorrow to let you know about the new Funky Mutts website.

Crunching Autumn Leaves

I am a very Funky Staffordshire Bull Terrier living in South London. I wanted to write about the fun and frolics I have in the park with Evie my fellow Staffie, she is a bit smaller than me and generally smells like a fox poo, but she is my only friend in London as I don't really like dogs much, I find them a little irritating there obsession with sticking their cold wet noses up my bum and bouncing around in front of me incredibly annoying, basically I think I am human and I have been told on occasion by the waggy tailed Evie that I am a bit of a grumpy old stick in the mud! As the nights draw in this is a time for a Staffie to contemplate those winter nights of curling up by the fire and braving the cold weather. Evie is looking forward to yorkshire puddings and I am hoping to get a little roast beef although I am on a diet with the Vet saying I need to lose a whole 2 kgs, diet starts after Christmas, well come on! a Staffie has to dream! My human owner has starting behaving in a strange manner, recently she spends her evening instead of watching Emerdale and Eastenders chugging away on her sewing machine, making floral dog collars which she then makes me model ,you can see some more pictures of me and Evie on her website http://www.funkymutts.co.uk/ . Not only do I have to walk around the park wearing a flowery collar (apparently this makes me look more feminine and friendly) but she insists on wearing a headband to match my street cred as top dog in the park is teetering on the edge! Anyway I will be reporting in on a regular basis on naughty Evie’s ball pinching antics and who I have fallen out with as well as an update on my owners odd behaviour. I have to sign off now as I am being called over to the sewing machine to test out a rather pretty looking paisley print! Keep wagging! Bailey
